EXAMS
Thursday, September 23:
Read the Declaration of Independence. You can find it in the appendix of Who Built America or in the “documents” section on Blackboard.
9:30 – 10 am: Based on your reading of the Declaration of Independence, write a four to five sentence post on the Blackboard discussion forum on ONE (and only one) of the following:
Tell us WHY you found it confusing, surprising, interesting or important.
Respond to at least one other post by either trying to clear up something that was confusing or by telling us WHY you agreed or disagreed with what writer found confusing, surprising, interesting or important.
10 – 10:30 am: As a class, we will do a close reading aloud and analysis of the Declaration of Independence.
10:30 – 10:45 am: We will break into groups of three and four. The task for each group will be to rewrite in your own words the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. You will post the re-write in computer Lab on September 30th.
